BACKGROUND
As our love for the sport of MMA grew, we were sad to see that Swedish talent were forced to compete abroad in unfair fights in corrupt organizations. Careers were over before they ever started due to lack of opportunities. The atmosphere of an MMA event is unmatched, yet there were barely any events at all in all of Sweden. We wanted to change this.
In 2018 Wolf Fight Promotion was founded by MMA enthusiasts & fighters with a dream of a Nordic region without shortage of opportunity for the growing MMA talent. Our vision is to be a springboard for fighters careers with fair fight-opportunities and exposure to fans. We aim to contribute to the development of the Nordic region and growth of the sport that we love, which is MMA.
WHAT IS MMA?
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a full-contact combat sport that allows striking and grappling, both standing and on the ground, using techniques from various combat sports and martial arts. The first official MMA-event took place in 1993 and since the sport has exploded in popularity.
